War On the Line will feature civilian and military re-enactors, vintage vehicles, live music, dancing and historic displays. Travel Ticket gives you the freedom to explore the displays
JULY
Thursday 7th July – Southend – Cost £19.00
Walk along Southend Pier, which is the longest pleasure pier in the world, at a length of 1.34 miles. Then finish with a fish & Chip dinner?
Sunday 24th July – Bedford River Festival – Cost £17.00
This will see the return of lots of the Festival’s old favourites, from the music stages and funfair, the dragon boat and raft races on the river, and lots of stalls and activities to get involved with across the Embankment, Mill Meadows and St Mary’s Gardens. Bedford High Street will also be closed for the first time.

Over the past millennium a wealth of myth & legend has wound itself around the forest trees like a clinging vine. Your expert guide will take us back through time and to thatched villages and on to Lyndhurst and Beulieu.

We visit the little-known gem that is Faversham, a market town set among the Kent apple orchards and the seaside at Whitstable. We explore Faversham with a gentle stroll in the morning seeing some of the 475 listed buildings. Then back to the pub for farmhouse ham, egg and chips or vegetarian option. In the afternoon we head to Whitstable with its picture postcard of weatherboard cottages.

We begin at Thaxted with morning refreshments. From high in the coach, we will take in the gentle rolling landscapes of rural Essex and the chocolate box village of Finchingfield. Where we will have a ploughman’s lunch and enjoy the vintage vehicle collection.
DECEMBER

With the sound of choirs singing Christmas carols, market traders offering unusual and handmade gifts, colourful decorations brightening wooden stalls and the aroma of mulled wine and cinnamon drifting in the air – a visit to the Oxford Christmas Market is a truly magical Christmas experience.
